ok! I'm trying to run a backup of a CD based PS2 game DDR party collection (I know, I need a loader). But I downloaded the v7 CD loader (since I have a v7 PS2) to a CD-RW and my PS2 isn't reading it! I'm using SwapMagic3.0 CD version, so is it just my CD's that are bad? or is there more to it than that?
And yes I followed the burn process EXACTLY as is was written in the burn folder, I used CDrWin.
sly_61019 is right, most do not work. What brand are you using? And what is the error message...u didn't put it in your post. Does the laser look at the CDRW or does it just fail? Look...I know u might have got a good deal, but get some REAL CDR media. The kind that lasts a long time & holds up. Sucky media will cause your laser to fail a lot quicker; the price diff between cheap CDR media & good is usually just a few pennies.
alright, cool, thanks
I'm using "imation" CDRWs so they aren't the best either, I got a 10 pack for like $3, I'll just go out and try to get some CD-Rs.
I don't get an error message, and it doesn't sound like the laser is trying to read the disc, the borders of the screen flashes red and blue so I guess that's what happens when you put in incompatible media.
OMG...Imation!? Don't use that sh*t. Get some real media, that will last & not give your laser a workout. Look in my sig for the best CD-R media thread. Purchase from well-known companies with a good rep, in bulk of 50-100+ & you'll get a good deal. Let your dog use the Imations for frisbees...LOL
yeah, well I got these things for 3 bucks so go figure
I'll try to get the best media I can, I don't really care how expensive they are, it's not like they're 7 bucks a disk either.
they work for audio and sound pretty clean, and I backed up the installation disks for PhantasyStarOnlline and they worked good, but I doubt they're useful for anything besides that.
