Check it.
I got this PSP. Being a nice guy, i let my lil bro play around with it while i searched for ways to mod it and such. Im completely new to PSP's but not modding by anyway (ive modded tons of phones) now.. my lil bro told me that when he went to play GTA the psp told him that he had to upgrade the system. I checked the system the system settings and it says the system software is version 2.00 So what the hell did he upgrade, i have no idea what he did. Anyone know what he upgraded, and if i should still bother modding it. I saw on some threads that on version 2.5 there is no way to mod, can anyone tell me how to upgrade to version 2.5 to make sure that this didnt happen to my psp. Thanks alot.. ill see what i can contribute after i figure this out.

Yo man if you want to mod don't upgrade to 2.5 and the newest is 2.6. Tho those are better operating systems do not upgrade until they have a mod out. You should look into some threads to get that v.2.00 down to a v.1.50 so you can mod easier.

All he did was upgrade the system from 1.5 to 2.0

You can downgrade back to 1.5

Sice the OP has GTA:LCS

**STICK WITH v2.00 GTA WILL NOT WORK WITH v1.50!!**

On the other hand do not allow anyone to update past this! At the moment there are no nasty UMDs'? out there which will nag you to update past v2.00! ~or else~ But, if I only had One Thin Dime for all the "My Little Brother and that nasty Network Update!" Posts!!! $_$

Now unless you really wish to be a lowly Troll and rip people off by downloading Torrents. Theres just about nothing you can't play, Homebrew wise includeing LUA Games! On v2.00 with the Fanjita's v2.00 EBOOT loader v0.9. Save those nasty, nasty *.iso Loaders. Which I hope will never see support this side of v1.50 myself!

Homebrew's = Rock!!
*.iso's = Suck!!

What do u have against iso's? I work with iso's for my ps2 backups. is there any reason why i shouldnt work with em on my psp? it would be easier to work with the isos in my case than homebrew.. i would have to learn homebrew from scratch.
