I read the Nero tutorial and saw that you can make very nice title pages for VCDs. I have been using Sony CD Extreme to make my VCDs, and it works great, but I can't figure out a way to make title pages. I am new to the program, and I've searched everywhere.

Can anyone who has experience with this program help me out? Is it even possible to make title pages with CD xtreme? Also, if I get the Nero demo, does that work, or do I need the full version to burn VCDs, make title pages, etc.

Thanks

Hi JimmyJack.

No, Sony CD-Extreme doesn't support making title pages or menus, however, I find it makes ultra-superb vcds every single time, otherwise.

You're the only person I've seen in these pages who has used this fine program. Everyone else seems "Nero-Nutz". :)

If you remember, could you please tell me where and how you got Sony CD Extreme? I used to have it, but our computer crashed and we had to restore, and now I can't find it back.
Thanks.

A long long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.....

There was a website that provided a link to the Sony CD Extreme software. Originally, the software was bundled free with the drives *made* by sony. Eventualy the link was removed because of the fact (I assume) that although *bundled* free with the sony drives, it was not actually free *outright*. (Pity)

Nowadays you can only get two *updates* to the original program (here) : http://sony.storagesupport.com/cdrw/downloads/ , which won't really help you a bit if you don't have the original setup program. (sorry)

I've got it (because of that one-time free link), but I guess I can't (legally) let you have it. I'm very very sorry 'bout that cause this program really shines.

RATS. Thanks anyways.
While you're here, do you know of any other (free) CD-writer software? ... Since I no longer have any, I can't use the drive. It sucks.

Aw geeze.....this really 'bites', Samri, I hear 'ya big guy.....

I feel really crummy for not being able to help you out. (Twould be 'so-o-o' easy.)

Ummmmmm.....(I have a couple of email addresses......ummmmm......geeze, I dunno, Samri, I have a hotmail address thingee, and my handle is sometimes "[bla-bla-bla]", but, NO, I didn't say that! (Nosiree, not me).

I musn't expect the powers-that-be here to allow that; I do *not* want to cause trouble for anyone....

I mean, you *did* once have this software *anyway*, right? You simply misplaced your copy, right?

(bla-bla.mail)

(bla-bla-bla)

And no, offhand I can't think of any freeware burning programs other than demo versions. Do a hard web search, Samri, and see what you can come up with.

Having a burner with no software is like having a car with no gas. :-(

Good Luck.

P.S. Maybe you could send a nice polite email to Sony and keep your fingers crossed?

Just curious, Samri - did you receive your snail-mail yet?

I dispatched it about a week ago.

Regards,
