You don't need to connect to the laptop. All it needs to do is connect to the Router. Here's a step by step guide:

Your internet connection with your router works fine on your computer. YES
You own a Linksys Router. YES

Router Set-Up Information
1) Open your computer browser
2) Type this in your address bar: 192.168.1.1. This is your LAN IP. (You said you were on a WAN) I think it's the same
3) Hit enter
4) You will be prompted to sign in. If you have this info, type it in. I
5) If you do not have the Log-in info, leave the name blank and type: admin :as the password.
6) You have gained access to the information.

If the answer is YES, continue to the next number
If the answer is NO, Refer to the "I do not know my Log-In info" at the bottom of this document.

7) Review you Linksys Setup Information
8 ) Check the "Configuration Type"

These instructions have been tested only for the "Automatic Configuration - DCHP".

9) Write down your IP address. 192.168.1.1
10) Write down your Subnet Mask ###.###.###.#
11) Write down your SSID: This is the name that is broadcast to you psp.
12) Check that SSID Broadcast is enabled
13) Disable your Wireless security (for now)

Now to you PSP
1) Navigate to Network Settings. It is the last icon of the settings list.
2) Press X

9) Select the access point to be used menu. Identify your routers SSID (usually the highest reception %) and press X.
10) Confirm the SSID name (that it is the one you want). If it is not exactly as in your set-up info you wrote doan earlier press X, then type in the SSID your router has and press enter.
11) Press > on the D-pad

I DON'T KNOW MY LOG IN INFO
~~~Resetting your router resets all your router settings to default!!~~~~
Hold the reset button on the router for 30 second, do not let go of it after the diag LED turns off, continue holding it until 30 seconds have passed.
After you?ve done this, the router will revert to factory defaults, all of your settings will be lost. By default the default Password for the router is admin, and there is no User Name.
