I'm stressin out here. I'm using the ghost clip on my slimline, and swap magic discs. I download the .iso's, I've tried 3 different games, and most of em arent even recognized, and the ones that are skip alot, especially during movie sequences...ive tried sonys, memorex and some generic brand at 4x using both Nero and Alcohol and still having no luck. I'm wasting discs by the minute and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong!
anyone know which brand is the best and fails the least? Thanks!

Chill out man.
First of all, you're not being specific to what game you've downloaded. Second of all, I'd already provided you "all the links" to what you'll need in query to backing up/rebuilding PS2 games. And thirdly, I said; "http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/248020 from Hursty (good for Downloaded files)", meaning if they're downloaded files/rar/iso, etc.

ive read em all, doing everything by the book. I'm burning the warriors and prince of persia 3. the warriors only seems to work right when i burned to a memorex..at 6x. i just burned pop3, and it finally works after trying on another memorex..so memorex seems good for me, but my question is this now: how do i make a memorex burn at 4x? the lowest is 6x...the sony's i got go down to 4x but the memorex just goes to 6x...
thanks

Ive read about rebuilding and patching downloaded ps2 games....do you think THIS is my problem? the game itself that is being bundled needs rebuilt or patched?

The Warriors. Ive checked all the "lists" and haven't seen this listed as game that needs patched.

If you've read all the FAQ's, then why are you still using Memorex? Any FAQ will tell you Memorex is garbage. A link concerning CMC Mag media is right in Alkohol's sig. So quit complaining and get some better media. You've tried Sony's. That's one decent brand. Try some Taiyo Yuden's or Verbatims. I truthfully doubt you've done any reading at all. Alkohol provided you a list of useful links, and all you're going to is bitch? Man what an ingrate.

Yeah I think I'm God, right. You still haven't tried good media. Sony DVD-R's are okay, not great. Some Sony DvD+R's made in Japan have the YUDENXXX media code, those are good. The ones made in Taiwan, not so much. Try some Taiyo Yuden's or Verbatim's. If you want help, you shouldn't insult Alkohol and myself, as we both know what we're talking about. If you've read all the FAQ's then you wouldn't be having having this problem. Quit insulting my intelligence and read a little. I'll be unsubscribing to this thread now. You got two free passes and Alkohol was kind enough to help you in spite of your sunny disposition. Good Luck from God err Tokijin lol.

HAPPY FRIGGIN DAY!!! I FINALLY GOT IT!! after 3 weeks of trial and error, this is kind of embarassing, but all my games work great now that ive burned at 4x on to DVD-r's instead of +r's!! the only reason i used +r's is cause a few games worked, so i thought that was the key, but evidentally, some games burn on +r, but for the most part you have to use -r! oh man, my headaches are OVER! thanks all for the help!

It may depend on media or burner, for my backups I use all brands of + and -r media on a Plextor px-716a doing 4x burn w/ DVD Decrypter and have never had a single backup not work yet.
