Hello im just wondering before i downgrade me PSP is it completly safe and if somthing goes terribly wrong will i be able to reset my psp so it will not be broken for ever ?

Information you might need:
Pack = Giga pack
Version = v2.00
I got it for christmas so i dont wanna brake it!

Check this guide out this is what i used and had no problems at all. PSP still runs as normal http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/downgrade_psp_2.cfm

forgot to say as long as you follow the guide exactly you will be fine. If you dont theres a chance you will brick your PSP i.e make it a usefull as a housebrick!

OK im not going to do it becuase i payed £400 and im not making it a house brick :wink: thanx for the help anyways
p.s im abit of a chicken when people say i can brake things becuase its likely to be me to brick my PSP thanx again :)

Bud, if you don't feel comfortable doing it then it's prolly wise not to, but if you follow the guides to the tee, then it really isn't hard to do at all, there's a million things harder i've done hardware and software mods wise, it's all relative, it's just that this is prolly the riskiest thing to do with the psp software side of things. unless you pull the power or do something stupid halfway thru the flash process, it's not going to damage it, i don't understand why peeps warn others off doing this so much, it's childs play.

lol i would try it but its abit different to a pc becuase if you brake you just re-format but with a psp it just brakes and thats £400 down the drain :(

I got my psp for christmas too and i am too scared to downgrade aswell!

I think i will some time soon...people say it can break your psp but ive never come across anyone who has broke theirs.
