I used it and was less then impressed, the file i tried it with mp4 movie played in a little square in the middle offcentre of the screen, and couldn't change the image size, i just use the psp's media player for the mean time.
Reasons?

It works good if you know how to do it, right now, before the retail release of Sony's PSP Media Manager it's a little complicated.

You have to encode 16:9 to 16:9 and 4:3 to 4:3 while maintaining solid AVC/H.264 bitrates A/V. Get the resolution right for the aspect ratio of th esource video, and bumg up the audio vlume to 150% and it's pretty slick. I use PSP Video 9 and always use AVC CBR two passes.

Fanboy is a term used to describe someone who is utterly devoted to a single subject. This generally is followed by the devotion and support even when proved wrong.

Anecdotal, by my definition, it's the way too many people here think. It's also all the evidence you have.

Xbox 360 GT: NEGATIVE 273K

My advice: Wait for PS3.

Nah, the movie works fine using the psp os player, fullscreen, but tell truth only used it once, i thought it was ugly and pointless, besides the extra audio playback options it supported, i'm on 1.5.

to each their own tho, and if you look around the board nearly everyone here uses pspvid9, but mp4, because of 1.5 fw

EDIT, forgot to ask this before, but has anyone been able to get the avc working on a 1.5 using mph's firmware loader? I tried a premade file but it wouldn't recognise my netwrok settings for the browser, and actually forgot to test the avc (too much on), but couldn't be arsed right now to encode something into avc to try, i guess i'll eventually get round to it, but had read somwhere it did nay work, then others say it does, so... fill me in peeps :D
