speed of the Pioneer DVR-104 ???

any one knows what is the writing speed
of this model. Im using Nero, it accepts
only 1x speed. the manual said this
burner suppose to write at 2x speed.

The speed is 1X for RW, but should be 2X for the first write.

I have not used Nero, but it is a 2X for DVD-R

hi there it will write at 2x , but u must get top branded media.
The Pioneer brand of media will write at 2x.

Bit of a con saying it will write at 2x. :(

Pioneer only allows to burn 2x on Pioneer approved manufacturer's discs. Full list is available at Pioneer's site -- brands include Pioneer's own brand, TDK, etc.

I have this writer and it always writes at 1x using Nero but when using prassi it writes at 2x
I think it is Nero that is the problem

hello. i just got an oem pioneer 104 (same as a04, it's just the oem model). i'm using nero 5.5.8.2.

how did you guys get nero to burn dvds with the a04? everytime i burn, it wants to burn using CD media. once i start the burn, i get an error and it tells me to put in a cdr/rw disc.

how can i tell it to burn using dvd-r or dvd-rw media? thanks!
