Hi, i am having trouble putting music on my psp. I used the USB to set up folders (games, videos, music). I dragged and dropped the Mp3 files into the psp music file but when i go to my psp it says no music is stored. I know that the music is on there because it has used memory space. What am I doing wrong?? My psp is version 2.50. Thanks, Chloe.

right,
first of all make sure your music isn't in Wma format as anything lower than 2.6 doesnt play them.
secondly make sure they are in this directory
x:/PSP/MUSIC x being your removable drive letter
so that means a folder called PSP and then a folder called MUSIC inside it, then your music in there

WMA is windows media Audio format. There are many convertors avaialble, just search on google. The only format that a psp that is below 2.6 will recognize is MP3.

it is the same thing. By "x" what they mean is any drive. In your case, substitute "x" with "f". What is your current firmware ?

no you cant put m3u's on seems as they arn't actually audio files they are playlist files for mp3's
so you should have the mp3's somewhere
as i said above it will only play mp3
no i wouldnt upgrade to 2.6 just for the wma its not worth it

Yes you can use .m3u's on the PSP?. But, .m3u's as most People here should know, is nothing but a Playlist. You could use such a File if you had a perefence as to how you wanted your Tracks to display. I think the PSP? defaults to ABC-Order.
Another thing I found out ~as a side note and a bit OT~
If you like to display Mangas or other Comic like Scans on your PSP?. The PSP? will display those Images in the order that they were saved in. So should Page 23 been saved at 23:01 31/12 and Pages 1 ~ 10 ca 00:01 01/01. Page 23 will allways display above Pages 1 ~ 10. Only resaveing the Pages **IN ORDER** will cause the PSP to display those Images in order!!

i love cats but he last post is just spam and he should be booted for such offences
i'm guessig the m3u file is just a plalist file
and the rest are mp3 files
remember m3u files are jus playlists
even if you add them with Nero all it is doing is adding the original mp3 files
