No files on PSP.

When I connect my psp to my computer I can't see any files although I can when the card is in a card reader. The music plays fine I have on it. What am I doing wrong? I tried to create a folder as another forum showed how to do it. Please help.

OK when you use USB do you plug in the cable and then go to USB connections?
1. If you dont then go to settings then click USB Connetions (when you have plugged the cable into your pc!)
2. If you do and it doesnt work go to settings then system settings then format memory stick ( make sure its plugged in)

Hi,
I have already formatted the memory stick vai the psp,have I done the right thing? I do go to usb connections but I still cannot see any files.

Does your computer say that your psp is connected like an external drive when you use usb connect EG :/f. Or does it not connect at all. Then I suggest trying a different usb cable.
P4 3.4GHz Advent T11, 512MB Ram, Nvidia Geforce 6600 256MB, 250GB Hard Disk, Pioneer dvr-108 writer.
PS2 Version 9 Silver, Flip top (Sprayed), Swap Magic v3.3, 250GB HD - HDAdvance 3.0.

The PSP does connect as a removable drive f. I can open it up or explore it but there is nothing in it and I cannot create a folder or do anything. Hoowever if I connect the memory stick via a card reader it is fine???

What about trying to connect your psp to a mates pc and see what you get! The problem may be your PC settings

Ha just tried it on another pc and it's fine. Whats wrong with my laptop please which runs on xp when my pc runs on me?

if you have 2 mem sticks and 1 is fine copy the files from tht onto the 1 with no files

Sorry if I have confused you. I have one 2 gig memory card which works fine on my pc(me) and won't work on my laptop(xp)

Has your laptop ever been used to transfer files to the psp before? If it worked before and has now stopped working try system restore. I use both my desktop and laptop that run XP to transfer files to the psp fine(except my laptop is a lot slower as it is usb 1).

No the laptop has never been used before. As I say it works fine witha card reader but not with the psp?
