I have UMD Emulator 0.8, and I just downloaded Prince of Persia. THe problem is that the files are NOT in ISO format. They are thus:
a-poprep.001
a-poprep.002
...
a-poprep.037
a-poprep.sfv
I tried combining the files, but it still wasn't an ISO. If anyone knows how to combine these files into a working ISO, or a download link to an actual Prince of Persia Revelations ISO (I've been looking everywhere for one), plese let me know. Thanks.

You can't ask for links to iso's on this forum - Its against the rules.

Thanks for the reply, but the files are not .rar. They are .001, .002, etc. They are not in need of extraction. That's what I don't understand.

No, but if you extract one...it should join them together to make one file

It says there are no archives found in selected files. I'm getting the feeling that this kind of file format is bogus.

They are in fact RAR files, but you may be missing one or more. That is how files are split using that format. They are numbered instead of each one ending in *.RAR. Highlight all the files that end in a number and right click. Check to see if there is an option that says Extract Files or Extract Here. If so choose that option and it should extract the original file where you choose. The SFV file is a check file to see if you are missing any parts. Often when someone uploads a large file aplit like this they will make PAR files to go with it. These are recovery files that are used only if there are any parts missing from what you download compared to the original. Check this link for a good explanation of those: http://www.slyck.com/ng.php?page=6 If you're still having roblems you'll have to Google it.

I decided to goahead and buy it because I liked what I played. However, there is another problem. I need firmware 2.0, and I have 1.5. I tried using Version changers but I keep getting error messages when I start it up:
The game could not be started
(FFFFFED3)
I don't want to lose hombrew capabilities, so any help here would be nice.

Please, I'd really like to run this game off the UMD instead of ripping it (don't have enough space).

I think Prince Of Persia is one of the new games that is encrypted with 2.0 so you can't play it with any other version right now.

I haven't played the game, so I can't promise that's what's happening, but it sounds like the most likely answer since a)PoP is a brand new game and b)we know that Sony is encrypting their new games with higher firmwares to battle piracy. It's my best guess given what information you provided.

The UMD game works with Fastloader 0.7. Not all games work with UMD Emulator and not all with Fastloader but if it's 1.5 compatible it will work with one and sometimes both. I've used Fasterloader more because Madden was one of the only ones it couldn't run. Still you need both if you are going to run ISOs.

Madden runs on UMD Emulator. That's why I say you need both.

Would "GTA:LCS" run on fastloader or UMD Emulator on v1.5 firmware?

Prince of persia run's fine on v1.5 as i've been using it and its great. a file ending in .001,.002 ect are infact .rar files, you are not missing any files. Do as already instucted, download WinRAR or a similar rar extrator, and double click on the first file, .001, and this should start the extraction process. or right click on this file and extract that way, or open the file from inside WinRAR itself. After this is done you will be left with one .iso file.
I've then used fastloader (v0.7 i think but maybe 0.8) to run the file, and it runs perfectly. Obviously u need the follow the correct files with the loader u use to place the iso file in the correct location ect. Hope this helps.

Yeah, the download I got was not working, even with WinRAR, because they didn't do anything. I downloaded another ISO and it ran fine. However, since i tried it and liked it, I have bought it and upgraded to 2.0 firmware to play it. Luckily, you can still run hombrew on 2.0, just not ISO loaders.
