Hey,
well basically the main thing im looking for is I Ripped a copy of Madden 2006 to my Hd and then tryed to burn it. i did the whole burn at 4X and whatnot but still the game doesnt wanna load. i use swap magic to load my games and as it goes to load i just get that red bar. i was wondering if anyone knew if i had to patch it or anything like that before the game would work. And also i was wondering what sites would i be able to easily find patches for hopefully this but other games too?

What discs are you using for your backups? eg, verbatim DVD-R 8x discs.

It doesn't need patching/rebuilding.

Was wondering if anyone had problems backing up madden 2006 on ps2, and then just burning it?
i have a mod chip on my ps2 just to let ppl know
cuz i heard with EA sports games it could be difficult.

You shouldn't have any problems backing up that game as long as you use good quality 8x DVD-R media and burn at 4x.. look in my sig at the link for good media.

What kind of modchip do you have... if it's one that supports dual layer backups(dvd-9) then you shouldn't have a problem with any game. There's a big thread on Matrix: PON somewhere, use the search to locate the thread and have a look through it, it'll give you some idea of what you should do.

Im trying to back up madden 2006 of the original copy and it says error

I/O ERROR

The disc is scrathced or dirty. Try using Alcohol 120% to backup the game. I notice that DVD Decrypter is sometimes picky with scratched games. I use Alcohol 120% for problem games.

1. Insert your disc
2. Open Alcohol 120%.
3. Click Image Making Wizard.
4. Select your recorder.
5. Check ignore reading errors.
6. Leave the seperate image every box alone.
7. Click Next.
8. Select a Location for the game.
9. Click Next.

You'll get an mds and an mdf file when you're done. Burn the mds file with DVD Decrypter as normal.

If I had a scratched or dirty game I used to use iso buster and rebuild the game...
I've since been fooling around with my copy of apache3(trial or beta version) that I've had for a while.. it also has an iso ripper on there and it works with the scratched/dirty discs too...
