took out my 40gb hd and left in my 200gb hd.and now my F DVDRW DRIVE IS NOT THERE IN MY COMPUTER SETTING .how do i get it back the drive will open and shut and light up but no program like nero will reconize it

Make sure the drive shows up in the system BIOS, then check into the Device Manager, your IDE settings, and make sure the IDE channels are set to Auto. I don't know what kind of chipset you're using so it's hard to guide you to how each is done.

Try this :
Right click on MY COMPUTER, Click on MANAGE. In the left Window , under Computer Management. There are 3 categories or groupings. System Tools , Storage and Services and Apps. Expand Storage ,Click on Disk Management. This will give you some info about your drives

somehow the drive apears but under the letter h not f i wonder why

If you want to change it back, my previous post is the way to do it.

Changing drive letters is one way of MANAGING your drives.
