I have been trying all day with 8 different programs and can't figure out how to copy ps2 games. I have followed all the steps correctly that i found on google to use with alcohol 120%, clonecd, nero and a bunch of other ones. but evertime i put the disk in, the message says to please enter a ps or ps2 format disk. I'm not sure if i need a modchip and if i do please let me know where i could get one. Thanks.
There is a lot of helpful information on this website. As a matter of fact, a month ago, I didn't know s**t about modchips or backing up games. I actually made my first post this morning, although I've been using this site for nearly a month. Towards the top of this forum you'll see several STICKY THREADS. One of them is titled
"Quick Links- Check Here before Asking Common Questions" by Tokijin. Like I said, a month ago I didn't know anything about this stuff, but that one link solved all my problems. I followed his advice, and now I'm making successful backups with a VERY VERY simple process that has yet to fail me. I'm not trying to be a jerk by not telling you myself what to do, I just want you to look around for yourself a little, as do many other people on this site based on what I've seen. By the way, I have a V7 PS2 with a DMS4 Pro that was professionally installed by an online dealer. I use DVD Decrypter alone to make my backups, and as said before, it has yet to fail me.
