I was wondering if there would be anyway to get around only being able to stream video via Media Cetner XP.

Like perhaps some kind of program that fools the Xbox 360 into thinking your computer is running Media Center XP (so it can be accessed through the media center menu) and the same program be used for streaming the content?

Is something like this possible?

Or has anyone heard something about a workaround being worked on?

and just in case someone says so, "Windows Media Connect" will NOT stream video to the 360, merely music and pictures.

Install Edonkey 2000
Go here---> http://forum.fucktheinter.net/viewtopic.php?t=15755
(probably need to register with the site first)
and download and do an install over the top or more preferrably a fresh install of WMCE 2005.

I've personally reformatted and did a clean install of this and it works Great!! Very seamless connection to my xbox 360 and it streams video very nicely!

well sh!t if that doesn't work then i don't know that's all i've heard working was that, sorry if that's the same as media connect. and why not just get a video card w/ a 2ndmonitor/tv out? i use my laptop to watch movies on my tv's and there are no problems w/ quality.

my cord cost like $5 or something like that, it's an old Dell Latitude CpX 450 GT 400Mhz

but it works pretty good for movies and things like that

what kind of laptop do you have? or what kind of video card is in it?
