I read all the posts from begining to end and now I'am wandering, if it's possible to back up original Swap Magic 3.6 discs. There is also a file named "DUMMY" in the root directory of the disc-it means, that it should also be replaced with empty "DUMMY" file? Will(should) it work?

You obviously didn't read all the posts from beginning to end, because this has been asked and answered so many times before.

Yes, you probably can make a backup of the swap magic disc... however, it is useless to you unless you have an older version of swap magic to boot the backup copy.
For instance, if you want to use your backup copy of swap magic, you still need a version of swap magic or a modchip to boot the backup copy, get it??

It is nowhere said, that it will work (it is said, that it won't work), but there is also not said, that somebody have tried to back up these discs themselves, so, I guess, I'll have to try to do that myself to get proof if it works or not...if somebody have tryed to make these backups, please post results here...I'm sure, its possible, because it was possible to backup PS1 boot disc...

As I said earlier..it is possible to back them up. But you can't use them without a method to boot them up, so pointless!!

Hey, I was thinking this when I first got my swap magic...Then i sat down and thought for a second...If you need a swap magic to played copied discs...then it is impossible to use a back-up of any mod, like these things you can download on limewire, etc. I would actually like to know though, what kinda disc is the original swap magic??

The swap magic discs are basically made out of an old tigh TOC PS2 game, and have been converted to load a program. That's why the ps2 recognises it as a PS2 original.
Not entirely accurate, but close enough.
