i have a version 2.0 psp which i downgraded to 1.5 to play iso games off memory card.
followed guide from ad and worked perfectly.
only prob now is when i put in original game like starwars battlefront 2 it makes me upgrade back to 2.0 before the game will play :(
does anyone now a way around this?
any advice pls.

Well not knowing (or haveing heard of), SWBFII beeing a v2.00 **ONLY** Game al-la a GTA:LCS, SOCOM et-al. All I could offer you is to try a Firmware Changer first and see if that helps. Allthough for someone who managed to downgrade a PSP? and is able to install and run *.iso's. This should have also dawned on you too.

If that should have been the case, and your Game still doesn't work. Then I'm guessing that SWBFII is also a v2.00 **ONLY** Game. And your going to have to run a proper Update to run it!

nawww, star wars battlefront 2 isn't a version 2.00 only game, im playing it right now using umd emulator

i presume i could play an iso of swb2 off the memory card using fastloader,but when i put in original game i have to upgrade.
i managed to downgrade following instructions as i know little about psps, but i know how to create an iso of a game to play..
i also know nothing about firmware.
what is it a what difference will it make changing?

WAB's or as they are Known now as Sony X Team's Firmware Changer will cause the Firmware Version Number to be misrepresented. in the Case of the MPH Downgrader ~overflow.tif' Hack it changes the Firmware Version back to v1.00 (not for reall of course),. In this case you'd use it to report a hihger version then say v1.50, like v2.00 or v2.50 in order to prevent the Nag Screens that you are experiencing.

Unfourtunatly a Firmware Changer can not alter the Firmware itself, just the Number value. So if you Firmware Change v1.50 for say v2.50. You'll still just have a v1.50. That can only do v1.50 things. (i.e. No Browser, no GTA:LCS or SOCOM etc..),...
