well, I wasnt quite sure where a question like this would belong, so please correct me if it should go in another section...

I am in need of a AV source switcher for my TV which has only the one component input for my various devices. I havent been able to find really anything reasonably priced that supports component video, just S/Composite or really high end stuff that seems like overkill...

I had heard from a couple people that you can actually use a S/Composite switch with Y Pb Pr cables/signals. Does this work and if so can you recommend a product to me?

thanks

The first one is. I sell it. I work at bestbuy. Try checking the videogame sections of retail stores!

I looked at bestbuy's website, and they are selling for around $89 bucks. That is a good price. Most of the ones I found were around the $250 mark.

Has anyone complained about any signal loss? I watch a lot of HDTV and have a lot of money invested in it, and heard that the cheaper AV switches has a small signal loss that you could tell when you skipped the switch and plugged the cables directly into the TV.

Just asking. I too am looking for a switch like this. So before I buy one, I would just like all the facts.

I do like the fact that the makers of "Grand Theft Auto" ownes joytech, makes me feel a little better about the brand. Cause I never heard of 'em.

I, too, bear curiosity as to whether anyone has tested those methods, as I have been reading about them myself.

be careful the prices on box at bust buy mentioned above is halfway toward an entire low end receiver system with multiple component inputs.

I suggest saving yoru pennies for that and or your next display and for the time being use this:
