Okay I tried burning the game way of the samurai 2.
1st. dvd dycrptor to read the disc so i can get an iso image
2nd. open up isobuster to extract the iso
3rd. open cd dvd generator and put the files in order by looking at isobuster
4th. did the volume tab in cddvdgen did all that info
5th. record button and name the file as it was [insert name].iml
6th. i then use apache2 to combine the .lst etc.
7th. i then used dvd decryptor to burn it
when i tried this in my ps2 i didn't load like after i did the swap magic3 boot. all i got was a black screen

when i tried not rebuilding it and then burned it it still got a blackscreen

should i try burning this with nero instead?
is it because my fliptop isn't on right? i mean i hear the disc spinning and everything.
could it be that i'm using maxell dvd-r that says 4.7gb 2hrs.

i'm kinda stuck on this
i've tried auto modellista with the above guide still didn't work. what could be wrong?

Games I got working so far:
Dragonballz Budakai Tenkaichi

Resident Evil 4
Auto Modellista

If you have Nero, try rebuilding it this way: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/197949.

Otherwise, there is a link to ExPERT in my sig. It is a much easier process, since you only use one program for the entire thing.

Also, to check the speeds of your discs, put a blank one in and open DVD Decrypter. That should tell you the maximum write speed. General rule of thumb is to burn at half the speed of the disc.

my max burning is 4x so i i burnt the dvd at 2x
and i have Nero 7 premium, when the guide ask for "you will see a window pop up with the title new compilation...on the left hand side, there is a list of options, dvd rom,dvd copy etc.....we want the bottom one DVD-ROM(UDF/ISO).click it..then click NEW,(top right) "
do i have to use dvd-rom(udf/iso)? or can i just click on burn image to disc.

and what does expert do?

You'll want to use the UDF/ISO tab since you're going to burn numerous files.

ExPERT is a program that rebuilds the iso for you. Instead of using numerous programs (ISO Buster, CD/DVD Gen, etc), you can do the same thing with ExPERT.

I wouldn't say that it's the programs because they have been proven to work. It could be your burn speed, and as far as method goes, I can't say too much because I've never tried the method that you were using. I've only ever used two ways to rebuild: ISO Buster/Nero and ExPERT.

One other thing that you could check is your drive's firmware, to make sure that it is up to date. There is a link in my sig for the updates.

Anything over 4.36gb might give you trouble with Swap Magic. It's really just trial and error. I've been able to straight read/write a 4.5gb game and had to rebuild a 4gb game.

Also, if you get a choppy game, rebuilding it might help.
