I have back up many games successfully however, I downloaded a backup copy of Sims 2 PS2 and it was fine until I started it on the ps2. the color is black and white and the screen keeps flipping. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Is it just a bad copy? my media is fine its worked for my other games. thanks!
The one you downloaded is PAL, and you have an NTSC television. Or, vice versa. What country do you live in? You may have to redownload the iso in the proper video format, or you can attempt converting it.
If swap magic try different video mode settings to load the game backup.. if that doesn't work, then you need to patch it with PAL2NTSC patcher or something similar.
The US conforms to the NTSC standard. Next time you download a game, make sure it is labelled "NTSC" or "USA". If you don't want to redownload your game, you can try patching your PAL iso. Search the forums for details.
