Got a PSP coming and want to learn to make a dvd w/ movies and download games ect. Looking for a few simple things to do while learning. I am not very sharp when it comes to computers and software so I need some simple tasks that I may have luck with without getting too frustrated and giving up any suggestions?

I fear that I have a version 2.6 coming and from what I read there wont be much I can do with this software. Are later versions of software designed to stop movie and game copying or is it a matter of the software just hasent been developed for the later versions yet?

First off for games you'll need a HUGE memory stick and they take a while and most dont even work so skip them.

If you have a 1.0 go to psphacks.com (or something along those lines) and download a 1.5 firmware upgrade so you can run homebrew. They have a ton of homebrew packs there most under 10mb so you can easily fit it onto a standard 32mb stick.

Also, get psp video 9 (google it, first result has a download). And you can find out about 2 other programs that can come with it to get movies/shows. However you'll need a bigger memory stick if you want to view them. Or you can break the programs up (not exactly sure how to but you can google it again) and view them in sections, but thats no fun.

And PSP doesnt run DVD's like you said "learn to make a dvd w/ movies and download games ect" they run UMD's. But its rare that you find blank UMD's to burn stuff to, try ebay or something like that.
