What can i do with an IFO

is there any way to view the movie in IFO format or do i have do convert it into another format in order to play it on my computer. If it does need to be convrted what program should i use?

Yes and no. In order to view any part of the movie you have to have both the ifo file and the vob files that go together. You can use ifoedit to play the files, just load the video_ts file and press the "dvd play" button. A second option is using a program like power dvd, as long as all the files needed are present.

To view a vob without the IFO, open any DVD program (WinDVD,etc). Open your toolbar and select "SOURCE" click on "OPEN File" and your directory will appear; select your vob file. You could also make a playlist. There are many options one can choose.
