360 In For Repairs!

I sent my system in for repairs on the 28th they received the system on the 29th. They fixxed the system and shiped it back on the 30th. I would be getting in the morning on the 31st but DHL told me over the phone that because its a saturday and microsoft didnt pay for saturday shippment ill have to wait until the 3rd. I think thats alot of crap, They paid for next day I should get it next day. I dont think UPS or Fedex chrage more for you to get it on saturday... Anyways Microsoft was very fast about fixxing it but DHL is a pain in the Butt!!!

UPS and FEDEX both charge for saturday delivery.
i see the labels all the time, i work around a shipping department and we keep DHL envelopes/boxes/labels UPS envelopes/boxes/labels and FEDEX envelopes/boxes/labels lying around and i know they charge for satuday delivery, but when i sent my 360 in i had the choice of checking what time i wanted it there by, i chose the earliest one, since DHL told me, M$ had to flip the bill no-matter what i choosed.
-it's probably a new unit, that's what they did with mine.

I have always had ups and fedex drop packages off even if i didnt pay for satudays. I didnt see anything about picking a time....
I hope it is new!
I am going to call DHL in the morning and see if its in my town. If so I might try to talk them in letting me come down and pick it up.

they will do it, if it happens to be there and it's not out of they're way on the 'limited' delivery schedule, and also DHL is more of a specialized courier, atleast that's what i've gathered....but i still don't get why the major hassel w/ them, unless they've got an insurance policy with them incase of system thefts (which you don't have to worry about with them because of tracking) but oh well, just be glad ur one of the first group to get one even...i know i am :-)

When you said a new unit, do you mean a new system with everything or just the system? Plus I heard of people not getting there Hard Drives back... I hope this is not the case.

i sent mine also in for repair,
i will get it back the 3rd also,but if i wanted to,i could go pick it up,since the facility is only 6miles away,but too lazy
just checked the status,
they picked it up at 11.30 am
then shipped out at 3.24
hopefully its a new system,since mine had the 3 rings of red lights

i sent in the premium i got from the MD360 Give away.
got back a new premium, new hard drive, new cables.
so yeah, i didn't get back the hard drive i sent in, but i got back another one w/o my saves on it, so i had to start over. no big deal though.

hey kraek, anyways i called them on thursday so i got the box on friday and then they said that they can come and collect it on tuesday which sucks and now that kraeks got his xbox 360 back i feel even more left out, so at best i will get it back by thursday, also can someone tell me how to get my gamertag on the screen plz

They're not fixing any of them,just sending out replacements, microsoft has a shortage of motherboards at the mo, so all the faulty boards are being sent to mexico to be fixed and put into the next batch for release

My box would lock up all the time. Now my new box keeps getting too hot. I have to keep a fan by it all the time. I think i am going to call them on thur. To send it back.

its the heatsink, they used crap thermal grease on them, which don't cut the proverbial mustard, and causes them to overheat, cutting costs i suppose, the heatsinks not the best design,they went for security bolts rather than the good old spring clamps, so it's very easy to not put the heatsink on right,especially when it's some underpaid poor little chinese dude trying to meet his quota cos he'll be whipped if he don't!,hehe.
suppose it could've been worse, at least most of them work ok,and they know what the problem is.
