I'm faily new at this also, but I have always chosen the iso file, with success. make sure you burn at lowest speed and have quality disks. As others have said in other forums and I didnt believe them at first, it really makes a difference. :)

DVD Decrypter can handle either, but if both are present, you should select the mds file. The mds file is like a set of instructions which tells your computer how to handle the contents of the iso file. It still burns the iso file, but technically you should load the mds file into DVD Decrypter. There will be times when you download a game that is an iso file only, without the mds file. In that instance you simply load the iso file into DVD Decrypter and burn it.

What worries me is when I still see this
Quote: make sure you burn at lowest speed
Not always a good idea.. depends on what computer equipment you have, generally speaking most people burn at 4x now.. and especially if you're using 16x discs.

That's okay. But with advances in burner technology, it isn't really necessary anymore. If your burner is newer then you don't need to burn at 1x. Burn at 4x to quality media, and you should be fine. Make sure your burner is in DMA mode and don't have anything running in the background while burning for best results.
