Have you been able to successfully burn with this Ritek G05 media before? I have a burner that won't burn it at all. Have you tried other media like Verbatim or Made in Japan labeled Fuji or Sony? I didn't see the burn speed indicated anywhere in the log which is odd (unless my tired eyes just missed it). At what speed did you attempt the burn? Usually it seems best to set the speed between 4X and half the rated speed of the media.

You're burning way too far to the edge, if using DVD Shrink, change it to 4300.

Download Nero 6 and use that. Also try burning at at least 6x.

I also think it's your RITEKG - 05 media.....try another one to see if it will work.

@redrum101

He did use Nero 6, where do you think the log came from.

Good luck Will_A,

PCDAD,

No, I really don't believe that is his problem, but many of the gurus alwasys mention to burn at 4300. I actually burn at 4450 at all times, and never have had a problem.

Lately, I've seen a lot of failed burned from Ritek. Maybe it's time you need to try other high quality media like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim "advanced azo/datalife plus" or Maxell (mij by Hitachi). Again, I'm not dissin' Ritek, but I'm speaking to what I've witnessed that's all.

Your burner doesn't like the media -- perhaps, it's a bad batch or a defected disc. Again, try other high quality like the above mentioned.

Definitely, your burner doesn't like the media.

Try to burn at 4X speed next time. Yes... 4X is the best and most recommended here at AfterDawn.
