I got a Linksys wireless-G Broadband Router with Speedbooster. I want to set it up so I can wirelessly connect to my Xbox so I can play Xbox live. I have Verizon DSL for my ISP. After I had set it up I tried to login on DSL and it wouldn't connect. It said the computer wasn't responding. But my LAN connection is connected which it wasn't before. Then I went back and tried to reconfigure the router to see if I could tweak it so it would work and the Linksys setup said that either the router wasn't plugged into the PC or that it was searching for something and it would be done when the light stops blinking. Everything is plugged in correctly, I've checked it multiple times. The light did stop blinking. It keeps saying the same thing. I had to unplug the router and plug my DSL modem back in so I could come online. It also says something about needing DNS settings. But when I go into the settings it's blank. Anyone have any help for me?

I suggest pressing the reset button on the router, and follow the step-by-step instructions on the CD that came with the router. I've set up many linksys routers with no problems as long as you follow their setup procedure. and maybe your cable to your computer is bad. is it the same one that you used to connect your modem to your computer? if so its the wrong kind! that would be a crossover cable!

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:

The cable is fine and so is the setup. But this is what comes up when I try to connect to my Verizon DSL with my router on "Error 678: The remote computer did not respond. For further assistance, click More Info or search Help and Support Center for this error number." My LAN connects fine but my Verizon won't connect so it won't let me use the internet. If I try to go to my router's IP, it says I have to be connected to the internet. Also when I try to install the software it gets stuck on step 7: "checking the router" and then it asks for the password and I type the default password (admin) and it just goes back to the same screen and nothing happens. It does the same thing when I try to manually enter the settings.
