Is there any way to use the Slide Card without the Swap Magic DVD? I didn't want to have to buy the kit from a website. If it's impossible to do so...then what are all the possible options for playing backups without a modchip? Am I able to burn my own "Swap" DVD in one way or another?

Thanks

There are many ways, go to, http://www.exploitstation.com/, and its shows you the best totorails in order to tranfer an exploit to your memory card, its faily easy, and all u need is a flash disc(mp3 player), a 8mb memcard, and it even shows you the cut out, so thhat you can print the slide tool and cut it out your self.

Hmm...thanks. I'll look for it on the site.

If I ultimately can't get that to work (sounds good, though), is there a swap disk that's downloadable online and can boot on the PS2 like burned movies already can? That would be cool.

So, I'm looking for that tutorial you mentioned, and maybe I'm just blind (which is probably the reason), but I can't find it...

Which one was it exactly? I see nothing about using just a memory card and a flash drive. The site's FAQ says that all possible ways require buying some sort of a boot disc.

Ok , ill show you, http://exploitstation.com/articles/armax_exploit_usb/ARMaxExploit...
Thats the one, but you need the ARmax cd, what i done is download it, when to my freinds house, and put it in to crush the files to the memcard, so try downloading it and burn it and go to some 1 that has a chipped ps2, and follow the insturctions, hope tis helps!!!

But you have to understand. I'm a poor college student, lol.

I can probably get a Game Shark or something from one of my friends, anyway.

can someone enlighten me on what this is?

i've been debating for quite some time now if its really worth chipping my ps2, getting hdadvance, or swap magic.

dont want to getta chipped ps2 because i dont want any hardware disruptions within the ps2.

HDadvance and swap magic are my choices, but i'm hesistant because discs are capable of getting scratched easily. not that i dont take good care of them, but if theres a way to store the cd images on a memory card or hard drive without the use of the actual discs then thats plausible.

Hey listen, i'm nothing, and you're nothing, so lets just keep it like that, k?
