Well its a classic story, I just put my mobo in a new case,
all the pins should be in right according to the manual,
but everytime I start it up, I get a long beep for about a whole 2 seconds, then about 2 seconds of silence, then another 2 second beep, I disconnected everything but the vid card and RAM, also I reseated those, just wondering if anyone has anything.

Try taking the m/b back out of the case, and see if you can get it to start up...might be a ground issue with the new case. B.W.

Are you using the old power supply or the new one? How many memory sticks are inserted in the dimm. slots?

Do you have a different stick of memory to try and make sure it is in the slot closest to the cpu.

If you don't want to install and run Sisoft Sandra, you can use this simple utility:

Double check all connections then check them all again. If it worked before it will work again...providing you did'nt damage the board.

These boards use Award Bios which are not very helpful when it comes to beep codes. A series of long beeps might indicate a problem with the CPU fan - try a replacement if you can. Also make sure that the old PSU you have re-used has the extra 4-way square connector to supply 12v near the processor. BTW, what is the wattage of the PSU - it might not pack enough punch for the new board, I would use at least a 400w for this type of board.

ok I still havn't fixed it yet, but thanks for all the help so far,
Im using an ATX 420 watt power supply, and it has the 12v support, so I don't beleive power is an issue

well I just noticed that when I seat the ram in the slot closest to the CPU, it seemes a little jiggly, like it is loose, that might be what the problem is, but I don't know what to do about it
