Does any one know what firmware GRan Turismo 4 requires ? will it work on 1.5 ?

Seems like all new games that are going to be popular at all are requiring 2.0 or higher. I don't blame Sony for wanting to protect their interests, but it still kind of sucks for people who want to use homebrew and still play new games.

By the time Gran Turismo 4 is out (Gamestop says 4/3/06), I would think that many firmware updates have come out and it would require a pretty new firmware version to play.

Hopefully Sony woun't make games actually require more than 2.0. That way we get keep homebrew and still buy and play new games. Sony should be able to see that unless someone comes out with a 2.0 ISO loader. It's a decent compromise.
