I've been using WinMX as an alternative to Kazaa which won't connect for me. ALmost everytime I download something on WinMX I get red text reading "Busy (Queable)" or "Timed Out." I know there are a lot of options.

Can anyone tell me what I should set my options to be to get my downloads optimized?

only download from people that are green in color and if it says "busy queable" if you right click it and select"enter remote que" sometimes it will go.also set your downloads to 1 at a time.

Dreams! Oh my! We have the Intel Anypoint network too! I was having similar problems, but mine was with Audiogalaxy...i dont know what to tell you, I just always assumed it was our firewalls (we have like 3 or 4, dont ask why, it was my dad's doing) that wouldn't allow it to connect. Its a decent network, but has its (more than) fair share of bugs and problems

Your networking is probably running a firewall. Look in winmx for the 2 ports you are using then open those ports in your firewall or network administration. You may even have to break down and read the network manual to see how.
