Somebody please help, 'cause no one else seems to get this problem. I downloaded MPHdowngrader and EBOOT.PBP, followed the instructions, got to the point where the PSP showed that the system was v1.00, but whenever I try to load the 1.5 updater, I get the same message:

The system cannot be updated.
The update program is not applicable for this system.
(80000025)

Does anyone know how to fix this??

Are you using instructions from a forum from Afterdawn? Reason I ask is because I was able to successfully downgrade following the instructions seen in this forum for psp.

Make sure when you put files in the specified location, make sure that is the correct place. I noticed when i first tried it, i was having trouble and found that some files I had had them in the wrong place. Just take your time and follow the instructions. It will work, trust me.

Make sure its compatible with your PSP version (jap usa or euro) because some are specific version only.

I think the PSP could be Japanese, since I bought in Russia, and not in US (the button configuration is different from the US ones too). Does anyone know where I could find the Japanese 1.5 upgrade then?
