A friend of mine gave me this Sony Projector (Model VPL-V5000) , probably as old as 1996 or 1995 .. but it works fine, accepts VGA signal or PAL / NTSC video.. the only problem is that the image it projects is "mirrrored", that is you would need project the image through a mirror to see it straight.. (like a retroprojector). I went in the menus and can't find anything to set the picture straight.. Can anyone help?
I have an LCD projector and i go into setting, output, image and so on? and then untick the morror image and then everything is fine and dandy, if you are still struggling use google and do a search on the model, or better still, type the brand into the google search bar and see what it comes up with, you may be able to go to the original site and download a PDF (Portable Document Format) on your exact model
This is an old model and I couldn't find anything on google.. even less a PDF.. There's nothing in the MENU to affect the mirror image. I looked around a lot. I figured it might no be in the menu since it would be hard to swich mirrored/unmirrored when the menu is in the wrong state..
Does anyone has an old sony projector. and what would the menu item be?? or would the switch be somewhere else??
Strange, are there any switches on the sides or maybe underneath the unit, does it have a remote control, ???? there has to be some kind of menu somewhere surely, could you maybe take the unit to a local electronic store and maybe they can advise and assist you ?? just a thought
Hey, I may be able to help. should be a setting for forward or rear shooting. It is used for when the projector is behind the screen. Change it to forward. Hope this helps.
