TOKOBOT HELP! Please

Ok, i just bought tokobot last night and im already stuck, heres what ive done,
i went the the valve air ruins..and i think i did everything, ruby told me to go back to the lab, and i did and it said i could goto damper rock ruins...thats where im stuck, when i get there the gate is locked so u have to go to the left, when i get all the way back i kill the keeper out side the door and go in and go back and theres a switch, but how do i get back to the main gate from there?
when u have to go across the water you use the tokobots, but when you leave there are no magnets for the tokobots to get so i cant get back to the gate

please help before i throw my PSP and tokobot across the room, i have been trying stuff for 3 hrs!!

where the switch is look to the left i think there is a door there !!! and you can use the glider to go back. so if you did hit the switch the door to your left will open
