Whats your favorite DVD to Ipod conversion setup? Are you a DVD decript + Videora, DVD decript + nero, Cucusoft or so on and on.....

I like DVD shrink + videora or nero. Trying to figure out which goes faster. I think Nero but it requires more steps and isnt quite as flexible with settings ( doesnt do H264 but maybe im wrong). I havent done a lot of conversions but I'm learning fast.

Let me know what you guys like (settings and stuff).

NOT TALKING ABOUT GUIDES HERE, BUT POST A LINK IF YOU LIKE.

PQDVD = the best for DVD / Video to iPod converter. Sure, it costs a little money, but it's soo worth it :)

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/244629 - here is a link to the guide, which has been totally re-vamped, and there are screenshots of the pqdvd in action. IMO, with mp4 video, you don't need anything over about 800kbps for the video. Because the screen is so small, increasing the bitrate higher than that will waste you a lot more space for little in the way of picture quality improvements. In the guide, the audio is shown at 64kbps, but i would usually have it set at the 128kbps mark. 15fps is fine, for decent picture quality, though you would want to be looking into the late 20's to avoid getting any sort of lag whilst watching fast-movng video.

not AFAIK, I have managed to convert a collection of about 20 DVD's, old and new, without any fuss.
