For any fans out there who love the ps3 im sorry but i dont think this thread is for u. I would just like to say my input on the topic. I think that the ps3 copied the xbox 360's design. Do they not look the same to you? I remember when the 360 was first released on mtv and then a month later? i think thats when ps3 was announced. Now they are both slim? crome? and the controlles on both have gotten a little bigger, but i hate the ps3's controller its like a half of a mini steering wheel. What i heard about the ps3 is that its going to blow the 360 away because of the graphics and stuff but remeber xbox has way more memory and the premium xbox 360 is mostly wireless.

no microsoft ripped off the dell optiplex gx150 case and if you don't beleive me go online to www.dell.com and type it in in there driver support window and look at the manual

but i still think that ps3 is copying xbox 360 and personally i think that the xbox 360 is better than the ps3 because of the x-treme online play but you know ps3 will be able to play online also and it would be cool if halo2 was made for it also

I don't think PS3 copied XBox in their design. I also don't think the PS3 will blow the doors off of XBox. Remeber, XBox massively outpowered the PS2 and most people didn't even know it. Even if the PS3 does have more powerful hardware the XBox is really meant to shine in its software. Furthermore, most game developers will tell you they never come close to fully utilizing the capacity of these systems (as in any of the systems). Between my wife and I, I've owned quite a few systems (NES, SNES, 64, Gamecube, SEGA, Dreamcast, PS, XBox, and 360) and to be honest...they were all pretty good relative to their competition at the time. Just for reference I've also played the PS2 quite a bit. All of this such-and-such blows such-and-such away is really a load of crap. Personally, I want to see what Nintendo does with its new controller and ideas for backwards compatibility. Many developers have said they have had nothing but problems trying to work with some of the PS3 hardware. My main point is, all of the systems are great in their own right and all of them have their pitfalls. For some reason people have some sort of harsh alliances.

im pretty sure he meant the backwards compatibility of the system not the controller. But yes, i heard if you turn the controller on its side when you play old school games you can play it just like a NES controller.

i have to agree with tiredbus that they do look sorta the same. i dont think they copied though. And in terms of memory, i don't know about xbox having more memory because ps3 is said not to have one when it comes out.It does say that there will be a hardrive but not for games more for movies and mp3's and ect..that will be 80 gigs.

I totally agree!! It's really all about jealousy and speculation. The Xbox 360 isn't the Holy Grail of consoles and the PS3 won't be either. No matter how much hype each company pumps about it's product. I was mainly a Nintendo guy up until the N64. It was pretty good but they never came through with there online promises or the add on disc drive. I considered the PS2 but saw the future specs on the xbox & decided to wait. I've been pretty satisfied with the xbox and it's features(online/very mod friendly) so I didn't hesitate to buy the new xbox. I can understand loyal Sony fans sticking with the Playstation but just because there preferred console isn't ready yet, they feel the need to trash the Xbox 360 any chance they get. Having Sony & Microsoft fight it out for console supremecy will only make it better for us gamers. Better consoles at a cheaper price is always good and it wouldn't likely be that way if Microsoft and the xbox didn't enter the fray.
