Until i can order a stack of taiyos, which wouldbe the better to use?

Judging by the readout, you lucked out and got a Fujifilm for your Imation. Although, my experience with Imation is that they are 100% pure ass when it comes to backing up anything. I believe Imation gets the reject disks from higher companies and resells them.

I've used Memorex from a spool I had at work and have had very few problems. If it were me, I'd choose the Memorex.
