I would really like to know what im doing wrong, i figured out how to read and use CD-DVD Speed, and it looks liek the media i have and the drive are working great i think on my TY media i had a 95 quality raiting with 1 PIF most of the other media i had was no lower than 93 with 2-3 PIF.

i just dont understand why stuff skips in my PS2 i went and tested stuff i burned with TTG01 which is a TDK 4x DVD-r media(no more of this media is able to be bought, also never 1 have i got a stutter or coster with this media) and i got low-high 80's on about 20 different discs. and alot of these discs were burned with CS0M some with CS0P. i have updated F/W to CS0R and still seeing alot of stuttering and long read times.

as faw as the media im using i have real great media i is all the media that is reccomend from the http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

is there a huge difference in media from a 4x type to a 8x/16x type?
is the 1633s@1653s just a horride drive to burn with use with a PS2?

i posted yester in hopes i could get soem kind of responce but looks likes all you "Guru's" are busy

Ok, well it might help if you tell us what program you are using to try and backup your games and waht speed you're writing those 4x discs at?

Also, what modification does your ps2 have that allows you to play the backups? swap magic and fliptop/slidecard etc or a modchip?
