I had a new motherboard installed like a month ago it's fine i just wanted to reformated but my disk won't work now anyway i can fix this

well i stuck the cd 1 in and it said these cd's are not supported by this pc which i used them before just haven't since i got new motherboard

Your recovery cd is probably made specifically for your pc as it was originally set up. By swapping the main board you have made the recovery program on the cd see this as a completely different computer and it will not work. If you get a full version of win XP it will let you format your hard drive and do a clean install without all the extras that the PC makers think you need.

they r recovery disk make's my pc just like brand new so if i "buy" xp and i instal it will auto reformat my pc erase everything and start over i thought it would update it

you do have to reinstall windows with a "bought" cd but you dont have to lose all your stuff... read my input on this thread

thank's man i just wanna do a clean install cuz i backed up everything i need on a dvd so i just want to wipe everything start fresh and new
