Just wondering if anyone else is either a subscriber or going to pick up the Feb. OXM for the FFXI Beta (full version minus intro movie) comes w/ the expansions, and dedicated 360 servers? i'm not really big into FF but i think i'll pick up the Feb OXM (hits Jan 17, 06) just for that game, i mean $12 for FFXI for 360, plus the mag? not a bad deal, anyone else have any thoughts or opinions on it?

i'm hearing the graphics are superb.

yeah, I will probably pick it up. I always have liked FF. and hell-$12 that's a bargin. besides I'll be able to get my 360 around then so it would a great first game

it's $12 an issue for the OXM and w/ feb's issue you get the FFXI Beta Test Disc. so basically your paying $12 for FFXI and you get an issue of OXM for free. (only thing FFXI Beta is missing is the intro movie; so they say....)

hey i cant wait till ffx1 im so psyched.
i jsut registered see u guys online im steroidmage on live
ive never played it so . I was hopeing to get the pc release and then go on xbox try to get a head of the game.

So has there been any details about charging us xbox live users extra to play in their servers?. Or hows that going to work?

well atleast the beta is free, other then that i'm not sure if the retail will be free to play online or not, i guess will just have to wait and see what goes on with the greedy square enix and their dedicated servers.

it will prob be 12 - 15 a month to play when it hits shelfs. Thast a average mmorpg price for servers. But the game looks amazing and wow sucks :)

Thats still a jiff, cuz consider that we already paying 49.99 to play online, its not fair. Some one from micro$oft should stand up for us gamers.

FFXI will use their servers through X-Box live. So you will have the Live fee and the FFXI fee. I assume if its the same way the PC and PS2 version are you have the monthly fee, additional characters in your party are an additional 1.00 per character

plus u can use silver to play u dont have to pay xbox live to play it its free. So in that aspect im only paying the monthly fee. ok so is the 360 version playing with the pc and ps2? if so can u find proof cause ill go oiut and buy the game just to get a heads up. And if anyone has played it before how is it?

it'll interact w/ the pc and ps2 version it's supposed to be the first cross platform mmporg or whatever. uhm from what i read you can't transfer yours accounts at this time, like ps2 to pc to xbox360, but that may change who know's.

yea ill be pickin this up for sure, $12 sounds waaay better then $60+tax. But one question where would be a good place to pick up OXM? best buy would have them right?

it'll be out on newstands shelfs on the 17th. w/ the demo disc.
only place i've actually found the right OXM was at wal-mart and they're between 8.99 and 11.99. and i have to go back on the 17th to get the correct issue it's gamedisc number 54. bestbuy might have them, i didn't check, i did however check Target, Circuit City, K-mart, Barnes N Noble, Walden Books, Shopko/Pamida, and Wal-mart. but of all those the only place that hade OXM was walmart. so it'll be hitting the shelfs this tuesday.

dont play ffxl its the worst. Im sooooo upset about the graphics and gameplay. It has SOME good ideas but other that it sucks lol wow is better

ya man ffxl for either blows hard core. The graphics are ps2 or worse quality(this is for 360 btw). all the races look like either only diff is like big small, ears and such. The con is SOOOO terrible they put hard hard monsters in witht he easy 2 or 3 hit kill ones. and the con all says the same thing for them high defence and strong but one is easy and the other kills u hard.Never enough monsters to hunt for. The exp sucks if u solo u kill a monster say and get 100 exp if u grp with another person u get liek 17 hehe so it sucks.hmm what else i dunno.
but i really love final fantasy a lot and i was dissapointed like then x-2 came out just sucked. Also the demo took like 3hours to install and the game sucks. Man i was so dissappointed .i played it for about a hour. it sucks so bad. 360 has so much potential take a nintendo type road and have RETARDED grpahics and gameplay for there system. What where the thinking . They should of had wow and not a game that was made and have graphics for a 5 year old game. Ultima online had better graphics than that.
im sorry square but u continiue to put out crappy ff then im out bar none

ya 12 bucks a month. WAit for oblivion or mass effect for the 12 (not oblivion its free) but dude ffxi is CRAPPY trust me. Ive played and had high lvl char on WOW, UO, DAOC, UO, eq 1 and EQ2, Lin 2, horizons,guildwars, actually gw is better than ffxL thast bad LOL. and ive played swg. wait for somthing more.
thing is that the screen shots look awsome too thast why im so pissed cause they lied about the game . cause the graphics are crappy little ps2 style if u dont belive pick up the beta in OXB mag.

one last low blow tot he xbox live community is that its not supported xbox live that is. U have to have a private chat. that mean s 1 on 1. U can do that in any game thru the dashboard. really ffxl is out of date and should not be on 360.
