Well, I was thinking of getting a Maxell Hard drive and HD Advance 3.0 but i was wondering, after I install the games to the drive, would I be able to play it online even when I put a DNA on the iso??

no it won't work but, I've been told you can play older non dnas games online off the hdd (haven't tried myself).

so playing mvp ncaa baseball off of the HDD won't allow the espn ticker to function?

Not if it's a DNA enabled game (which it is). You can't play DNA's enabled games off a HD.
