Ok, Im just curious. Why do you have to have a mod chip to play copied PS2 games? If I was to rip a CD PS2 game onto my computer as an ISO(which as I understand is a perffect copy of the game)and then burn the ISO onto a cd, why in the heck do I need a mod chip!?!?!?
Thanks

There is copy protection on your PS that will stop you from playing. Thats the simple answer. You just cant do it!

There has to be some way to do it without a mod chip though!

there is a code bar that is pressed into the PS2 game disc which cant be coppied when you read the disc.

You either get a modchip or use a disc like swapmagic.

Swapmagic is a disc that is pressed with the (copyprotection) on it which then will let you swap the backup disc after it loads past the copyprotection.

No, i said "DVD PRESS". The same kind of press that game companies use to make the games.

Do you have $50,000-$100,000 to spare. Its a commercial dvd press.
