Hi to all

I have just formatted a pc
The sound card is incorperated into the mother board
I have looked on the internet for a driver
but every one wants me to subsribe and wants a money for a simple down load
can any one help?
I am running windows xp
and the audio device is
C-media AC 97 AUDIO DEVICE

The Audio component driver (AC 97) of your motherboard can be found at your motherboard's manufacturer website normally. Look up your motherboard model number and visit the website to look under Downloads -- where you should see the latest BIOS files and the AUDIO ones.

Hi again
The motherboard is an athlon 1800+
will that make it easier for someone
i have looked on the motherboard site
all they want to do is sell me another board
so unsure of the rest

hi ya, if u look on the motherboard itself it should be near the pci cards have a look at this go to the site and click ENLARGEMENT http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2=15&l3=0&model=1003&mod... this is a A8V-VM and ur motherboard make and model should be in round about the same place.
