Game plays great, but kind of pauses between plays and the announcers skip a bit, along with the music. Anyone know if this is a known issue? burning at 4x, 2x barely worked at all..would burning at 6x make a difference?

It should be ok after you rebuild it..

try this program:-http://www.alucard.cc/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=getit&lid=2345

Here's how to use it.. it might not work for all games though.

Open the program.

1. Select the Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins drop down list.
2. Select the iso you want to rebuild.
3. Click extract LBA.
4. Click extract file and wait for it to finish.
5. Click rebuild file and wait for it to finish.
6. Click rebuild LBA.
7. Burn the new iso with Nero or DVD Decrypter as usual.

good luck

What media are you using? it can make a big difference if you use good quality media like taiyo yuden or verbatim.

hmmm, i rebuilt it, would get past first screen (loading..). reburned the original iso a few times and its working perfect now. im using memorex DVD-R 8x. flawless..after 10 different types/speeds/brands, this is the one for me. i may try verbatim 8x DVD-R but this is the lowest speed i think is available in retail stores

You'll hear many times on this site that memorex aren't very good quality and you can actually have problems with the game with those discs at some point. I'd get better media unless you want to have problems like this for nearly all your backups.
We can only tell you what our experiences are... and most people on here realise after not taking our advice and getting better discs..that their imation/cmc/memorex etc discs fail either to begin with and won't boot or a few weeks/months afterward.. it's your choice though.

good luck with whatever you decide to do

noted. believe me im not promoting memorex at all, its just the only brand, in any store near me, that is a DVD-R 8x. everything else is DVD+R 8x, or DVD-R or +r 16x...thats it. no 4x for anything.

New question. So I'm going to try these taiyo yuden dvd-r's...which should i buy, the 4x or 8x 100 pack? Thanks !

@Sneakins It doesn't really matter. They're both excellent quality. The 4x are cheaper, the 8x will obviously burn faster. I've burned a 110 successful backups on the 8x TY's, TYG02. I like to burn at 4x, so I go with the 8x. It's really a matter of user preference.

@ Physique Not likely. Besides which Hursty has already tried all three methods of rebuilding to no avail. I think you'll just have to wait for somebody to crack it.

Yeah, like tokijin... I always use the 8x discs and then BURN them at 4x.. I've never used 4x discs!!

@sneakins - didn't I give you a link to these guys? http://www.svp.co.uk/index.php

They accept paypal as well as credit/debit cards if that was a problem for you. They do loads of 8x discs... but make sure you check the media code first as they also sell cmc mag discs etc... Taiyo yudens are best at about £36 for 100, which is probably cheaper than the memorex you had if you bought them from pcworld or somewhere.

good luck with it
