Hi all!

I just purchased a new pc here in Madrid, Spain under this specs:

motherboard Gigabyte GA-K8NF9 with built in AC97 audio card
processor AMD Athlon 64 3200
most recent, official drivers and codecs are installed, including the mp3 fraunhofer codec which I use to compress using Adobe Audition.

I assume further specs are not necessary to mention but if anyone wants/needs to know more please just tell me. Now to the problem:

Nero 7 perfectly installed and APPARENTLY everything working great but with this new machine when I come to burn an audio cd out of my mp3 tracks, no matter if self ripped or downloaded, the first second or so of each track is cut. Cut on the preview of Nero and cut in the burned disc!! If you go to 'indexes/split...' tab you see the wave is clearly and unexplicably cut... What puzzles me even more is that it seems not to happen with other formats, at least not with WAV files... obviously the mp3 tracks are perfect and work correctly with any player... moreover I've tried also DeepBurner to find out if it could be a 'general' problem but it worked just fine! I would like to solve the problem with Nero as DeepBurner is quite cheesy.

I've tried everything, reinstalled Nero 7, nothing changed, installed older Nero 6 (still on my old pc working great!) but much to my surprise it did not work either, so there is something not compatable in my new pc or maybe something remains in the registry after uninstalling 7 that affects 6 anyhow... i have the same software that in my old pc, this is madness!! I've alway loved nero an would hate having to leave it for dead (at least for burning mp3 into cda) with this new pc... and obviously I'm not kkeping my older machine, it goes to my father...

Anyone can help me with this?

My sincerest thanks in advance!

Nico

Ah, one more thing that I just experienced. It's not only that the initial second or so is cut from the tracks, in some tracks there are also some loops, pauses, and other silly artifacts and that's definitely not in the original mp3 tracks!

Thanks again!!

Ok now here's the log. It's from a succesful cd-rw burn, only the mentioned problem, the mp3 tracks I dragged to create the audio cd are cut at the beginning and have several distortions.

Thanks for any help!!!!
