nokia 6230 security code problem

I have a nok6230 unlocked to all networks etc,the default security code 12345 will not work or will entering it unsuccesfully to access the puk code option,i was told that some networks reconfigure the code.I'm aware of this being for security measure on the phone,how can i resolve this problem????????
