Hi all,

I'm American but I live in Germany. I grab certain US TV shows off the net in xvid/avi format and burn them to CD so I can watch them.

The problem I am having is this. I extract the avi after downloading. Then I create a basic Data CD using K3B (ver 0.12.3) to burn the file using Mode 2. I have found a couple of other postings out there that recommended leaving K3B defaults as long as you set burning for Mode 2.

However, my player (modded PS2 using PS2Reality player 1.5) can't seem to see any avi files on the disc. The only thing PS2Reality can see in it's built in browser are two folders with the " . " and " .. " names but no AVI files.

I can use the CD that I burn with K3B to watch the avi on either my Suse 10 box (mplayer) or on my Win XP Pro box (Win media player 10) with no problems.

Here's the kicker. If I use the basic Windows built in copy method (highlight file, right click, send to burner, copy files to CD), it works fine in my PS2.

What gives?

Thanks in advance!
