after i had rebuilt combat elite ww11 paratroopers my ps2 would not regongnise it as a valid ps2 disc does it need a patch or something can anybody help thanks

Yeh im having the same problem but i didn't rebuild it, i got 2 different iso's for this game and when i burn them the ps2 doesnt recognize either one of the disks, has anyone backed up this game yet and if so could please tell me how you did it

did you burn this game using that guide or are you just suggesting it because i was going to rebuild it but gibraltar said he already tried and the ps2 didnt recognize it

i didnt rebuild it yet but i guess ill give it a try becuase gibraltar could have done it incorrectly

OK I rebuilt it and i get the same result i loads but then it says please insert ps2 format disk and yes i am positive that i rebuilt it the right way so if any one has actually backed up this game and got it to work could you please help me out

What brand of DVDs are you using? Use some high quality ones like Verbatim or Tuiyo Yuden discs. I use 8x verbatim and I burn at 4x and have backed up 75 games flawlessly.

i assume that you are using swap magic. try pressing square for special boot. that might help.

i already tried pressing square and got the same result and i have burned this game to Memorex, Sony, and TDK and get the same results with all

as Mik3H said get high quality media, memorex is crappy and sony unless made in japan is crappy. TDK too is not the best.
are u using the tool (slide tool/ flip top) correctly ?

i have rebuilt hundreds of games and all work fine eventually but this combat elite ww11 paratroopers is doing my head in im even using ritek quality blank media and it still wont recognise this game as a valid ps2 game help !!!!!

i am using swap magic 3.3 with the slide tool and its not the media im positive and by the way i dont know why everyone hates memorex they are second class media and i have never had any problems with them ever but back to my question, has anyone actually backed up this game and got it to work becuase ive wasted over 10 blanks and dont want to waste anymore so please HELP!

Ok I got this game to work all you need to do is boot the game with swap magic first and then zoneloader and it works perfectly by the way i burned it to memorex 16x at 2.4x

Honestly, re-build, and burn onto really high quality discs at half the max speed and you should be fine!!!

It may not be CMC Mag, you just lucked out. It could easily have been CMC Mag. Ricoh is okay. It's pretty much even with Ritek. In the future never buy Memorex, they're shite.
