I purchased a sony dru710a which is now en route to sony for a rma replacement, in the meantime I will be using my pioneer dvr-104. the software version of Nero that I received with my sony burner states that it will only work with sony dvd burners. is there any way to get this to work with my pioneer for now. thanks.

I have never heard of this before, have you tried using Nero as yet? if not there's only 1 way to find out.

This is normal for the OEM software that came with your Sony burner. It will not work with a Pioneer.

If this is the case then what I would suggest is that you completely remove the OEM version from your comp and download free trial version (Nero7) until your new burner arrives, you have a free trial for 1 month.
Upon receipt of your new burner you can either remove Nero7 and re install OEM or purchase Nero7. Good luck.

Hi abhi2kill, can you please edit out your email adress, it's against forum rules.
Go to the pen and paper symble at the top of your thread and delete reference and then Save Changes.
In DVD Shrink if you want to back up the full disc then choose full disc back up.

@ kiddk1

<<smiles>> -- yes your thread was hijacked -- GGGGGRRRRRrrr -- nothing I hate more then this -- this is a sure recipe for organized confusion ! People think that they will get a quicker answer when they jump on someone's thread with a totally different subject !

I am not gonna answer this hijacker and I wish others would do the same !! He should start his own thread.

Thanks for coming in and closing your thread kiddk1 !

Have a great day !
