can anyone help i have slimline ps2 model scph-70003 and swap magic 3.6 all tools are inserted right cos i can still play origanals but when i put swap magic disc in the load programs video mode comes up but when you put back up disc in it spins and stops and keeps saying invalid ps2 disc but game work as i have seen them work on a mates computer but he has old bulky ps2 any ideas

First off just because you can play orignal PS2 games off the PS2 dosent mean you have the tool installed correctly. I assume you have a slide tool of some sort?

My point is that the tool is inserted so it doesnt reset the PS2 when you do a swap of the backup disc. When you insert an orignal PS2 disc in the PS2 will load the game which means you wont have to swap the disc. So in theroy you dont know if the tools are working correctly or not.

But I think the problem more then likly is the media your using. It took me 3 diffrent brands of blank media before I found some that work well with my PS2. So just because it plays on your friends PS2 dosent mean it will yours.

So my sugestion is to make sure the swap tool is correctly installed and then go hunting for blank media that your PS2 will read.

Also next time you make a thread try making the title apart of your problem like (PS2 backup wont load) dont put (help me please) You would be suprised at how many people would skip over your post with a title like that.

I have a slim line with a flip top not the tool but i use verbatim DVD+R and it works great for about 6 motnhs that i have had it and you might want to make sure you are pressing square to "BOOT SPECIAL" and not X other wise it is a regular boot
