webcam probs

i got a webcam from china but it didn come with a a box or anything. i cant install it at home becuase you need the software. is there any sollution(s) to my problem? the make is in chinese writing so i dont no wat it says but underneath the chinese writing it says bluelover. i tried googleing that but nothing came up. plz help me out

Go over to this site. They explain how to find drivers for unknow devices buy using regedit to look at the registry. Good Luck!

I forgot to mention. Look under the key thats says usb to find the device id and whatnot. And yes the camera has to be plugged in so you can find it. The site tells ya how to find unknown pci devices and the principal is the same with usb devices.

hi thanks for your help but i went to my registery editor and looked under usb but i had alot under there and i dont no which one my webcams on. when i go on device manager my webcam is on other dvices and has the camra there. how can i find the software for it?

I told yeah how. When you look under resgistry. It will list a description of the item. Heres a pic to show yeah what keys to look for. Cause I have a webcam myself and know its there.
When yeah look over at the right pane you will see the description. Now look at the key and use the device id and the other id. The ounch it in the site puals talk bout and then ya can locate drivers. The only other way is to go over the fcc site and punch in the fcc id of the cam to figure out the manufacture. Then you can go over the manufacture site to find drivers if available. The first is more relaible. If yeah have to. Right click and save the image. Then open it up in paint and zoom in. But yeah cab clearly see what to look for. Good Luck and let me know how it turns out.:>

Look at the pick. Go to key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\USB\

Now look at the picture. Ya see how the one key is highlighted and in the right pane is says class=image?

Thats what ya looking for. If you dont use a lot of usb items then there shouldnt be a lot of key's. Now once ya find that key use the hardware id and description id. If ya cant find it. Take a exact picture of ya registry like I do and post via img shack. And I will see if we looking at the right key. Or possible we can use remote assistance in windows to chat via real time so I can help ya with this. You need to pm me with ya email address so I can send ya a remote assistance invite.:>

hi, i found the usb foder that my webcam is but how do you find the vender id and the device id? the only thing that is under the hardware id is the vid, pid, rev.is it n e of them? help...go online
